Our technical personnel undergo extensive training and continued education including certification by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Professionals in Ophthalmology requiring rigorous written and practical testing. 	Val Kolle, OCS - Business Manager Val has over 20 years experience in the administrative side of ophthalmology. She was certified as an ophthalmic technician in 1994 and has been with Knolle & Young Associates since 1997. She is also our billing and coding expert as an Ophthalmic Coding Specialist.  Val acts as a liaison between the patients, doctors and the staff and oversees operations of the business.
	Lory Day - Receptionist Lory has a diverse background in the medical profession.  Her father was a Doctor of Optometry and she previously worked in his business.  She is a past employee of Brackenridge Hospital.  Lory is the front office receptionist and looks forward to helping our patients with their check in process.
	Elizabeth "Beth" Flores - Check Out Receptionist Beth worked at Brackenridge Hospital for five years in the Health Information Management Department.  She joined Knolle & Young in 2006 and really enjoys interacting with all patients and assists them in the check-out process and with their appointment needs.
	Kathy Piedfort, COT, CST - Surgical Coordinator Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Biology minor and has been in the field of ophthalmology for 26 years. She was certified both as an ophthalmic and surgical technician in 1985 and has been with the practice since 1983. Kathy manages surgery protocol, performs surgical and diagnostic testing and assists Dr. Knolle, Dr.Young, and Dr. Vendal in surgery.
	Renee Morris, COA - Ophthalmic Assistant  Renee has been in the ophthalmic field since 1995. She joined Knolle & Young in 2007, and quickly became our Head Technician.  She  performs diagnostic testing and assists the doctors with all aspects of patient care and assists with in- office surgery.
	Kelly Corley - Certified Ophthalmic Assistant, Ophthalmic Coding Specialist Kelly started working with her dad as an optician in Dallas in 1997 and has been working in the field of ophthalmology ever since.  She joined Knolle and Young in 2008.  She brings with her great work up skills, and good work ethics.
